I’m a designer and content creator, so I wanted to optimize the space for my creative needs. My overall goal was to have a home office that is clean and minimal in design. I wanted to make it as comfortable as possible, so I can focus for long periods of time.

  1. Super helpful! Thank you for this awesome video! It's also a great timing for us to invest in a good home office!

  2. Looks really good and stylish. Just one "however" – the abundance of open horizontal surfaces makes them (and the items stored there) collect quite some dust, which I find impractical. If you just put them behind some doors, probably made of glass – it could protect the items (especially the camera/lens stuff) and you from spending time wiping the dust out.

  3. Wouldn't it have been more reasonable to invest in a monitor arm instead of a stand? Monitor arms allow much more flexibility and free desk space.

  4. This is what I was searching from months.. having same plans in mind to be executed. Hence found great ideas from you brother..Many thanks for sharing..

  5. Hey, I have some questions regarding your desk:
    1) Is the tabletop your using deeper than your Alex drawers? In other words, does your tabletop hang over the ALEX Drawers from the front at all, and if so, how much overhang is there?
    2) I found that the Gerton IKEA tabletop is very nice and similar to yours. I've seen others just apply the oil finish, but don't sand the wood down. Is sanding the wood really necessary, or no?
    3) What are the dimensions of your wooden tabletop?
    4) How have the ALEX Drawers held up over time? Since they are made from particleboard, I want to know since I am investing in an IKEA desk.
    Thank you.

  6. Hey love the video. Is there any way you could tell me what grey color paint that was specifically. Edit: just read the description 😂
